FASHION, TRAVEL, LIFESTYLE
For want of a more captivating way of opening my first substantial update since mid-Semester break, hola from Dubai where I’ve just landed for an 18 hour stint before heading to Cape Town for some work.
All I could think about on the Lebanon-to-Dubai leg of my flight this afternoon were the 16th Century Shakespearean sonnets I found myself indulging in as part of my semester unit this year, Zac Posen’s Resort 2018 composed of an effortlessly chic silky luxurious dream and Mango- whose new collection show is tomorrow evening.
More on that later though.
But for now, I’ve figured due to the extended period of social kidnap – I believe that is considered a real term by every university student – I thought it be only fair to take this opportunity to compile my Q&A’s that I have been receiving. Rather than compiling an essay about my perspective on life, I’ll just check in once a month to respond to your questions in the comment box, and you can all refer back to this page for answers to burning life questions, when you need them most.
As a matter of guidance, or not, here are the answers to what have essentially been the most pressing subjects in question across all of my social channels:
Q. Where are you from?
Q. How do you balance university and your fashion life?
The key lies in time management and a long-term ambition. Setting goals in your mind of where you want to be in a year, two years, five years and ten years. If what you’re doing at any point in time isn’t contributing to that, stop and do what you should be doing
Q. How often do you work out, and how long for?
Four days a week, one hour per session
Q. What are your favourite workouts?
Yoga and Pilates
Q. Are you a vegan?
Q. What types of food do you eat?
I eat a whole food plant based diet (leafy greens, healthy starches, fruits, legumes) and once in a while I will treat myself to some vegan junk food
Q. What is your skincare routine?
I try and switch it up every couple of months, as your skin gets used to certain products and become less effective, but I consistently use extra virgin coconut oil as a make-up remover and moisturiser, I always wear sunscreen and lastly, hydrate- can’t stress this enough- keep a water bottle on you 24/7
Q. How do I create my own personal style?
Consider your body shape and what you feel the most comfortable in. Then expand into colours, textures and prints from there.
Q. How do you maintain your healthy hair?
I often go for a trim every two to three months and I apply coconut masks once a month which I have found keeps my hair extremely healthy and smooth
Q. Which is your favourite foundation to use?
I love using Lancome, it works well with my skin and creates a flawless finish.
Q. What destinations have you traveled to before?
I’ve been extremely blessed to have traveled to some of the most beautiful countries in the world: Greece, Dubai, Lebanon, Bali and South Africa
Ask and you shall receive.
